About Us
CareerForce is the name of an office that houses two agencies that provide employment assistance. Those agencies are Minnesota Valley Action Council (MVAC) and Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED -a state agency)
CareerForce is a local resource for those looking for employment and for businesses looking for workers. Our office brings together many employment services for job seekers such as: career assessment and planning, resume development, help with online applications, interviewing skills, specialized employment and training programs, job search assistance, finding job vacancies, and job counseling.
Customers can stop in and use a nicely equipped computer lab for their job search needs and receive staff assistance and guidance. We are open Mon-Friday, 8 to 4:30 and there is never a cost for our services.
CareerForce offers services to the general public, veterans, individuals with disabilities, at-risk youth, laid off workers, college students seeking internships and public assistance recipients.
Businesses can receive help with talent attraction, recruitment, labor market information, seminars, disability employment services, help hiring veterans, workplace inclusion assistance and more.
